Socialinių mokslų duomenų archyvai yra viena seniausių šios mokslo srities infrastruktūrų. Pradėti kurti dar praėjusio amžiaus viduryje, šiuo metu jie tapo neatsiejama empirinių socialinių mokslų tyrimų dalimi. Pastaruosius pora dešimtmečių plintant informacinėms ir komunikacinėms technologijoms bei atvirųjų duomenų idėjoms dauguma socialinių mokslų duomenų archyvų transformavosi į atviros prieigos internetinius duomenų centrus. Pranešime bus pristatoma socialinių mokslų duomenų archyvų idėja ir įgyvendinimo praktikos pasaulyje bei aptariama Lietuvos HSM duomenų archyvo (LiDA, www.lidata.eu) kūrimo istorija bei iššūkiai.
Social science data archives might be considered as one of the oldest research infrastructures in the field. Starting in the middle of last century they have become an inseparable part of the contemporary empirical social research. Last couple of decades witnessed a rapid spread of information and communication technologies as well as open data ideas which in turn transformed majority of the social science data archives into open access virtual data centers. Therefore, this presentation will introduce the idea of social science data archives, experiences related to its implementation in the world and discuss the history and challenges of the development of the Lithuanian Data Archive for SSH (LiDA, www.lidata.eu).
